Sanctuary Family Support
Why does the Veterans' Foundation support Sanctuary Family Support?
Sanctuary Family Support exists to provide guidance and hope to the families of British Armed Forces veterans, servicemen and women.
For some servicemen, women, and veterans, the time spent in the British Armed Forces can be traumatic and this can occasionally lead to problems around substance misuse such as drugs and alcohol.
This misuse can have a significant impact on the individual, as well as family and close friends, and Sanctuary Family Support has been set up to assist in these circumstances.
This free service, based in Liverpool, is confidential and has won awards for its community work and its vision is to be a recognised centre of excellence delivering high-quality support to all those who need it.
How you can support the Veterans' Foundation
The Veterans’ Foundation has provided grants to hundreds of UK-based military charities and organisations since its inception in 2016. It is dedicated to distributing funding to where it is most effective and millions of pounds have been given to projects that have a positive impact on British veterans, and their dependents, in need.
If you’d like to become of a supporter of the Veterans’ Foundation you can do so by making a donation, by fundraising, by leaving something to Veterans' Foundation in your will or by joining the Veterans’ Lottery. Thank you.
