Why does the Veterans' Foundation support Alabare?
Alabare are a national homeless charity that has been supporting people who are vulnerable or marginalised since 1991, empowering individuals to live a fulfilled and independent life. They do this by providing safe accommodation and helping them gain the skills and confidence they need to embrace the life they deserve. Alabare offer homes and support for people who are homeless or those in vulnerable situations. This can include an immediate roof over their heads, supporting their mental health and training to help them progress and move on in any way they choose.Their veteran pathway provides accommodation, training, wellbeing and support programmes to help ex-Armed Forces personnel who have struggled or faced homelessness in their civilian lives.
How you can support the Veterans' Foundation
The Veterans’ Foundation has provided grants to hundreds of UK-based military charities and organisations since its inception in 2016. It is dedicated to distributing funding to where it is most effective and millions of pounds have been given to projects that have a positive impact on British veterans, and their dependents, in need.
