Earlier this year, The Veterans’ Foundation was delighted to be selected as the charity partner for the Defence Infrastructure Organisation's (DIO) Giving Back programme.
The DIO is the estate expert for defence, supporting the armed forces to enable military capability by planning, building, maintaining, and servicing infrastructure.
In June, DIO colleagues, family and friends held a sponsored walk around Carsington Water, raising £1,505 for The Veterans' Foundation.
For their latest challenge, led by DIO’s Chief Executive, Mike Green, a team of representatives from DIO and its suppliers, pedalled up to 100km per day across the terrain that was home to the D-Day landings in Normandy, raising an incredible £50,000.

The Veterans' Foundation works with a range of partners in business and charity with the common goal of improving the lives of our Armed Forces and Veterans in need, as well as supporting the wider military family.
We are also happy to work with businesses who want to support the armed forces family and help us combat homelessness, physical disability, mental health problems, help fund initiatives around retraining and employment, as well helping bereaved forces families.
