Royal British Legion Industries receive grant to help Veterans' find employment

August 12 2020

Royal British Legion Industries (RBLI) is a charity which exists to help veterans find their feet whilst also helping adults with disabilities and people looking for work.

How does RBLI help veterans?

Realising that veterans often struggle to readjust to life after serving in the forces, RBLI help ex-forces personnel take their first steps to employment.

They have been chosen to receive a grant from the Veterans’ Fund, the work they do to help veterans prepare for life outside the army is invaluable and the gift will help change lives across the country.

“RBLI has given me a second life.” Anil, a veteran who was injured while on duty in Afghanistan was supported by RBLI to gain employment after completing his recovery. He now works as a sign maker, Anil like many other veterans has found employment thanks to the tireless work of RBLI.

RBLI also owns and manages Britain’s Bravest Manufacturing Company, in their own words: “It is our mission to create employment opportunities for ex-forces personnel, allowing them to use the skills they learned in the Armed Forces while enabling them to maintain their independence in civilian life.”

Britain’s Bravest Manufacturing supplies a wide range of products to companies in many industries including BMW, Network Rail and Siemens. The veterans working here learn valuable skills that enable them to pursue work in the manufacturing industry.

To simply support RBLI and many other forces charities, sign up to take part in the Veterans’ Lottery today. It costs £10 a month and not only supports charities who look after our heroes but also gives you the chance to win £25,000 every month.
