Introducing the new Veterans' Foundation website

October 15 2020

The Veterans’ Foundation has launched a new website providing an insight into how it supports our armed forces community.

The announcement comes as the number of charities the VF has helped tops the 250 mark in just four years.

Since its launch in August 2016, the VF has established itself as the fastest-growing military charity with its popular Veterans’ Lottery growing by 60% in the past 12 months.

The new website - www.veteransfoundation.org.uk - also provides news; fundraising ideas; a donate function; the opportunity to join the Veterans’ Lottery; and a free Will writing service for those armed forces supporters who want their legacy to live on.

CEO and VF founder, Major General David Shaw, said: “The new site explains how we are able to work with our partners to identify where the greatest need is for financial support and where that money will make the biggest impact. Most of our work is conducted with smaller charities and organisations and we provide a hub for our partners, celebrating their work and providing finance when appropriate. This was particularly evident during Covid lockdown when we acted quickly to release emergency funds."

In addition to the site refresh, the Veterans’ Foundation has undergone new branding as part of a second phase development for the charity.

In late 2020, the Veterans’ Foundation will unveil plans for an ambitious new project that combines celebrating the lives of everyone who has ever worn the uniform of the British Army, Royal Navy or Royal Air Force with projects for veterans in need of today.

“We’re looking forward to sharing this new initiative with the wider military family - it’s so important that everyone that has ever served, but is no longer with us, is remembered and respected. If those tributes also can help veterans in need today it will be a fitting act of remembrance,” added David Shaw.
