The Veterans’ Lottery is proud to announce that it is now one of the fastest-growing charitable lotteries in the country.
In the past 12 months, grants have been distributed to 104 different charities that support British veterans, and their dependents, in need.
As part of that growth, but in line with national guidelines governing lotteries, the prize structure of the Veterans’ Lottery is being adjusted to reflect its success.
The December draw will see the Veterans’ Lottery jackpot Rollover figure rise to a maximum of £30,000 meaning the most a player can win in a single month will now be £35,000 (first prize plus Rollover pot).
In the past 12 draws, the Rollover pot has been won four times with players scooping £25,000 each.
A Veterans’ Lottery first prize winner also scoops the Rollover pot if their lucky extra number printed on their membership card (1,2 or 3) is a match for the number drawn by one of our two random number lottery machines, called Winston and Churchill.
The individual guaranteed first prize for the Veterans’ Lottery remains at £5,000 as does the £2,000 second prize. However, third-tier prizes have been significantly bolstered increasing to 40 prizes of £120 each.
1st prize: £5,000.
2nd prize: £2,000.
3rd prize: 40x£120.
Rollover: Up to £30,000.
Max possible win per draw: £35,000.
Major General David Shaw, CEO and founder of the Veterans’ Foundation, said: “A huge thank you to the Veterans’ Lottery players for their ongoing support which has enabled so many projects to come to life. I also welcome the new players of the lottery that have joined us this year - your kindness will make a real difference to our military family in need.
“The new prize adjustments announced today are in line with the growth of the Veterans’ Lottery in the past 12 months and are in accordance with guidelines. We wish you the very best of luck in future draws and on behalf of our Armed Forces and veterans community, please keep playing - it’s changing lives for the better.”
*Please note, the first draw where the £35,000 rollover prize will be up for grabs is December 31st, 2020.
