Little Troopers receive a £71,280 Veterans' Foundation grant

January 23 2026

It’s an honour to continue our support of Little Troopers with the award of £71,280 over the next three years.

Little Troopers is a small charity that was founded by British Army veteran Louise Fetigan, MBE, whose daughter spent her whole childhood with the challenges of being in a military family and is the inspiration behind the charity.

It’s mission is to support all children with none or both parents serving in the British Armed Forces whether regular or reserve and Little Troopers is a vital support hub for military children.

Little Troopers provides a range of resources, activities, school programmes, and wellbeing initiatives designed specifically with the aim to promote resilience, build confidence, and provide practical child-focused support that helps military families thrive.

The Veterans’ Foundation grant will provide core salary funding for 3 key (and established) roles over three years.

The vital roles that are supported by the grant are essential to the day-to-day funding operations, coordination and delivery of core programmes and initiatives.

Little Troopers founder, Louise Fetigan was recently awarded an MBE in the King’s New Year Honour List in recognition of her tireless work for her charity and she is thankful for the continued support from the Veterans’ Foundation and its supporters.

"The funding from Veteran’s Foundation has a significant impact on Little Troopers by allowing us to deliver vital support more consistently and to more families,” she said.

"It helps us respond directly to the unique challenges faced by children with parents in the armed forces, ensuring our support is timely, effective and sustainable.”
