A huge congratulations to the winner of September’s Veterans’ Lottery draw who has secured the maximum prize of £35,000.
Barry Ward-Noble, who lives in Bolton, not only won the £5,000 monthly first prize, but also bagged the £30,000 rollover jackpot.
The 71-year-old only started playing the Veterans’ Lottery last year amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and he explained how two members of his family and their military connections were his inspiration to sign up.
“My brother-in-law was in the RAF for many years and my grandfather was also in the Forces, he served in the Durham Light Infantry, so I know first-hand how veterans need our support, especially these days,” said Barry.
Barry was shocked to hear that he’d won the prize initially and hasn’t yet decided how he’ll spend his £35k winnings but was absolutely delighted at his unexpected windfall.
£2,000 also went to Ms Hilli Thompson of Herne Bay, who won the second prize on what was just the third draw since she signed up to the Veterans’ Lottery.
Signing up to the Veterans’ Lottery directly helps ex-servicemen and women all over the UK and for just £10 a month, you can play a huge part in supporting veterans in need as well as going into the hat to win fantastic cash prizes.
